Two vehicles were intercepted, and all occupants were taken hostage.

The attack has deepened the insecurity crisis in the area, with residents lamenting the continued bloodshed and abductions, especially during the sacred month of Ramadan.

The Wanzamai-Magazu axis has become a hotspot for ambushes, with terrorists exploiting poor security presence and vast forested areas to carry out attacks.

As of the time of reporting, there was no official statement from security agencies regarding efforts to rescue the abducted victims or track down the perpetrators.
