The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday adjourned the alleged terrorism trial involving former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and his son, Abdulaziz, until March 10, 2026.
The adjournment followed a request by the Director of Public Prosecutions of the Federation, Rotimi Oyedepo, who asked for additional time to review the case file. Oyedepo told the court that the matter was recently transferred from the Department of State Services to the Department of Public Prosecutions, making it necessary for him to familiarise himself with the details.

Counsel to the defendants, Adedayo Adedeji, did not oppose the application but urged the court to strike out the case if the prosecution fails to begin trial on the next adjourned date, citing concerns over a lack of diligent prosecution.
In her ruling, Justice Joyce Abdulmalik granted the adjournment and directed the prosecution to open its case on March 10.
Further details are expected as proceedings continue.
