The Israeli ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, has accused Iran of sponsoring terrorism in Nigeria and other parts of the world, citing the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) as an example.
Freeman stated that Iran’s regime is behind major terror organizations, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, and has carried out terror bombings in Argentina and Bulgaria.
However, Iran’s ambassador to Nigeria, Gholamreza Mahdavi Raja, has denied these allegations, calling them “entirely unfounded” and part of a propaganda campaign by Israel. Raja emphasized that Iran has been a victim of terrorism and is committed to international cooperation to combat it.
The accusations come amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, with both countries trading blame over terrorism and nuclear ambitions.
