No fewer than 8,433 delegates are expected at the 2026 national convention of the All Progressives Congress, scheduled to hold at Eagle Square in Abuja on March 27 and 28.
The event will be attended by Bola Tinubu, 31 state governors, and members of the Federal Executive Council.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, disclosed this during a media briefing in Abuja, where he outlined preparations and expectations for the convention.
Idris, who serves as Co-Chairman of the convention’s Media and Publicity Committee, emphasised the need for unity and effective communication among party members to ensure a successful outing.

He described the convention as a key milestone for the party, noting that it would further strengthen internal structures and democratic processes.
The APC has also confirmed it will adopt a consensus approach in selecting its national leaders at the convention.
The gathering will see party members elect new national executives who will oversee party affairs and conduct primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
