A pastor and his wife have been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Seme border for concealing 11kg of skunk in their vehicle.
Afolabi Hodonu, 45, and his wife, Success, 35, were apprehended on April 2 while attempting to smuggle the illicit substance into the country.
The NDLEA also dismantled a drug trafficking syndicate involved in exporting cocaine to the UK, arresting several suspects and recovering 3.10kg of cocaine and 886 tins of palm kernel extract used for concealment. Other operations led to seizures and arrests in Adamawa, Osun, Ondo, Benue, Edo, and Oyo states.
