Former Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe has declared his intention to run for governor of Kwara State in 2027, seeking the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket.
Oloriegbe submitted his letter of intent to the APC secretariat in Ilorin, citing a duty to serve the people of Kwara.
The ex-lawmaker, who represented Kwara Central, outlined his vision for the state and emphasized his commitment to the APC.
He currently chairs the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) governing council and served as Kwara State Amirul-Hajj in 2024.
Oloriegbe’s bid comes as he seeks to leverage his experience and party loyalty to secure the APC nomination.
