Aminu Goro, former member for the Fagge Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and announced his intention to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Goro, who served as a federal lawmaker from 2011 to 2023, initially represented the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before defecting to the APC.
In a resignation letter, Goro thanked the APC for providing him with the platform to serve his constituents.
He cited “deep reflection, wide consultation, and careful consideration of the evolving political landscape” as reasons for his decision.
Goro’s supporters are urged to remain calm and united as he consolidates his new political engagement.
He plans to formalize his new affiliation and consult with stakeholders, including former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso.
