Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Konga, one of Nigeria’s leading e-commerce companies, has reportedly taken his own life.

Imudia, who was serving as the CEO of D.light, a company specialising in residential solar energy solutions, allegedly jumped from the balcony of his Lekki, Lagos apartment on the night of Tuesday, June 25.

Reports indicate that prior to the tragic incident, Imudia made a call to his US-based brother, providing instructions on the distribution of his wealth in case of his death.

He also spoke to his young daughter from a previous relationship, assuring her that he would always be watching over her.

Friends, family, and associates are in shock and unable to comprehend why Imudia would take such a drastic step. Originating from Ika South local government area in Delta State, Imudia was previously married to the mother of his daughter, but the marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences.

Before his tenure at Konga, Imudia held significant positions at TCL/Alcatel as a regional director and at Microsoft Device and Services as the GM/MD for West and Central Africa.
