Soji Jacobs, son of veteran actor Olu Jacobs, has affirmed that his father is alive, dispelling the latest round of death rumours circulating on social media.

The younger Jacobs made this clarification on Sunday in response to the false news of his father’s demise trending online. “The family is tired of this rumour that keeps recurring every year,” he stated.

Soji mentioned that he spoke with the publisher of one of the blogs that propagated the rumour on Sunday. The publisher promptly ended the call upon realising who was speaking.

“We have been receiving calls from all over the world from people wanting to verify the story. My mum is on the phone right now, answering multiple calls. This is annoying,” Soji further told the reporters.

As of the time this report was filed, the family was planning to go out with the 82-year-old Olu Jacobs to prove he is very much alive.
