President of Rwanda, Mr.Paul Kagame has officially inaugurated the newly renovated 45,000-seat Amahoro Stadium alongside (CAF) President Patrice Motsepe.

The Amahoro Stadium is now one of the most modern stadiums in Africa. Mr.Kagame after declaring the inauguration of the stadium said “Rwanda will win, Rwanda will be one of the best in Africa,”. The stadium located in the Gasabo district of Kigali, Rwanda, has a capacity of about 45,508, making it the largest stadium in Rwanda.
It hosts football matches, concerts, and public events. The stadium is also known as the “home of the Amavubi Stars,” it is the home stadium of Rwanda’s national football team, the Amavubi.

CAF President, Mr. Patrice Motsepe expressed his optimism that, with strong leadership, the Amavubi Stars will become the best team in Africa. “This is one of the most beautiful and best stadiums in Africa and the world.

“We, as Rwandese and Africans, should be so proud and thank our President for his leadership in building the best stadium,” Motsepe said, praising the newly renovated Amahoro Stadium and President Kagame for his visionary initiative.

The Rwandan President thanked the President of CAF, Patrice Motsepe and FIFA President, Gianni Infantino for inspiring them to create a world-class sporting facility.

The stadium will host a match between APR FC and Police FC to decide the winner of the Amahoro Stadium Inauguration Trophy.
