English Premier League Club, Everton has secured the signing of Senegalese forward, Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille on a five-year deal for around £15m.

The 24-year-old moved to Marseille from Sheffield United last summer. During his time in France, Ndiaye scored four goals in 46 games, helping the team reach the Europa League semi-finals. Everton manager, Sean Dyche revealed that, “He is still young but has experience at European and international levels, and we feel he will be a really positive addition to our squad.”

Sheffield United accepted a reported £20m offer for Ndiaye after he scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists, aiding their promotion from the Championship in the 2022-23 season. Ndiaye joined Sheffield United from Boreham Wood in 2019, having previously spent time in the Marseille academy before moving to Senegal, his father’s birthplace.

Ndiaye becomes Everton’s third summer signing, following the season-long loan of winger, Jack Harrison from Leeds and the permanent transfer of central midfielder, Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa.

“I joined because of how big the club is, its history, and the role I can play in helping the team move forward,” said Ndiaye, who has 20 international caps. “I’m so excited. I’ll be very proud to be part of the last season at Goodison Park.”

Everton’s director of football Kevin Thelwell added, “Iliman is a player we have admired for a long time, and we are delighted to bring a much sought-after player of his quality to Everton. We think he will excite Evertonians and give our attack a different dimension.”
