The United Nations ambassador, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, has announced that the United States is pledging $203 million to help prevent the ongoing crisis in Sudan from affecting the wider region. The conflict, which began over a year ago, has forced thousands of people to seek refuge in neighboring countries such as Chad.

The pledged funds will be used to provide vital humanitarian assistance to those affected by the conflict in Sudan. This includes food, shelter, health services, and other essential support. Additionally, the funds will help neighboring countries that are hosting Sudanese refugees.
