Nigeria’s Women’s Basketball Team, DTigress have lost their second match to Olympic Hosts, France 54-75 in their second group match at the at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium on Thursday evening.
The Reigning Afro-Basket Champions could not defeat the Host Nation after they pulled a surprise win to defeat World Number three, Australia on Monday.
DTigress tried to stay with the French ladies, but their shooting in the last two quarters was not so good; only making 13 points in the 3rd and 4th quarters respectively.
Nigeria’s many turnovers cost them dearly, with France putting up a good shooting display to run out with the victory. Yje Hosts have now qualified for the Quarter-finals of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Nigeria’s Dtigress will be hoping to defeat Canada when they face off in their last group game on Sunday.
