New Galatasaray signing, Victor Osimhen has rejoined the Super Eagles camp ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

The Nigerian national team, now led by interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen, will face the Cheetahs in Uyo for their first qualifying match, followed by an away game in Kigali against Rwanda just three days later.

According to Nigerian journalist Onyebuchi Onokala, Osimhen, fresh from finalizing his season-long loan from Napoli to Galatasaray, has arrived at the camp fully fit and ready to contribute to the Super Eagles’ campaign.

Sevilla’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Udinese’s goalkeeper Maduka Okoye have also joined the squad, bringing the total number of players in camp to 22.
Onokala confirmed that Osimhen arrived just hours ago and is in top condition, providing a significant boost to Nigeria’s attacking lineup as they aim to secure qualification for the tournament. While it’s unclear if Osimhen will play in Saturday’s match, his presence is a positive sign for the team’s preparations.
