On Thursday, thunderstorms are expected to affect parts of Taraba and Adamawa in the morning, with further storms likely over Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, and Zamfara States by evening.

In the southern cities, intermittent rains will fall over parts of Enugu and Anambra in the morning, with thunderstorms later in the day. The North Central region will continue to see rains in Nasarawa and Niger in the morning, while thunderstorms are expected in Kogi, the FCT, Kwara, and other parts of Niger later in the day.

Southern cities will experience cloudy skies in the morning, with thunderstorms and intermittent rains likely by afternoon, particularly in the inland and coastal regions.

NiMet urged residents to avoid flood-prone areas, as heavy downpours could lead to urban flooding in major cities. The agency also advised airline operators to stay updated with airport-specific weather reports for better flight planning.
