Justice Haleemah Salman of the Kwara State High Court has convicted five suspects linked to the infamous Offa robbery of 2018.
The court found the accused guilty of illegal possession of firearms, armed robbery, and culpable homicide.
The judge ruled that the crimes, which shook the nation in April 2018, are punishable by death under the law. The Offa robbery incident remains one of the deadliest in Nigeria’s recent history, leaving several people dead and properties looted.
