FIFA is set to announce the venues and stadiums for next year’s Club World Cup in the United States today according to a statement from the football governing body on Friday.

The new, expanded tournament will feature 32 clubs from around the globe and is scheduled to take place from June 15 to July 13, 2025.

FIFA President, Gianni Infantino will reveal the details in Central Park during the Global Citizen Festival, an event focused on addressing poverty.

Among the teams qualified for the tournament are 12 European clubs, including Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich, along with six South American teams such as Argentina’s River Plate and Boca Juniors, as well as Brazil’s Flamengo.

FIFA has yet to announce any broadcasting partners for the event, which has faced criticism from the global players’ union, FIFPro. FIFPro and the European Leagues body have jointly filed a complaint with the European Commission regarding the tournament’s introduction into the international match calendar.

Opponents argue that the new tournament contributes to an already congested schedule, increasing the burden on players. The Club World Cup will coincide with the CONCACAF Gold Cup, primarily taking place on the West Coast, while the Club World Cup matches are expected to be held mainly on the East Coast. However, it is possible that the Seattle Sounders, a U.S. club, could host a game at their home venue.

Additionally, the USA is set to co-host the regular World Cup in 2026 alongside Mexico and Canada.
