Victor Boniface, Chidera Ejuke, and Ademola Lookman headline the list of Super Eagles stars called up by interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen for Nigeria’s upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Libya.

Nigeria will continue their quest for a spot in the 2025 AFCON tournament with a crucial double-header against Libya later this month. The Super Eagles started their qualifying campaign strong, securing a 3-0 victory over Benin in Uyo, followed by a goalless draw against Rwanda in Kigali.

Looking to solidify their dominance in Group D, Nigeria will aim for victories in the upcoming clashes with Libya. Coach Eguavoen has named a 23-man squad for the matches, featuring several notable players.

Sevilla’s Chidera Ejuke returns to the national team after a two-year absence, alongside his club teammate, Kelechi Iheanacho, who has been a consistent presence. Despite the absence of injured Victor Osimhen, in-form striker, Victor Boniface will look to fill the gap in attack.

Although there were rumors of Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo being called up, he did not make the squad. Instead, familiar faces like Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, and captain William Troost-Ekong retain their spots in defense.
