Nollywood actor and National Secretary of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Mudashiru Olabiyi, fondly known as Bobby B, has tragically passed away following a brief illness in Oyo State.

The actor was pronounced dead by medical professionals in Ibadan, the state capital, after efforts to treat his non-terminal condition proved unsuccessful.

Bobby B’s passing was confirmed on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. His death has sent shockwaves through the Nollywood community and the broader creative industry.


Bolaji Amusan, the President of TAMPAN, widely known as Mr. Latin, expressed his deep sorrow over the loss.

He praised Bobby B’s unwavering commitment to the entertainment industry and his significant contributions to the association, describing his death as a “tremendous loss.”


In an official statement, Amusan said: “It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of our esteemed National Secretary, Alhaji Mudashiru Olabiyi, who departed from us today.

His dedication, leadership, and contributions have left an indelible mark on our organization, and his absence will be deeply felt.”


Amusan urged members of TAMPAN and the wider Nollywood community to offer support and prayers to Bobby B’s family during this difficult time.

Details of funeral arrangements and tributes will be announced in the coming days.
