Kenya’s Sheila Chepkirui claimed the New York Marathon women’s title in her race debut on Sunday, November 3rd 2024.
Sheila finished in an unofficial time of 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 35 seconds.
Defending champion, Hellen Obiri, also from Kenya, placed second, trailing by 14 seconds, while Vivian Cheruiyot secured third in 2:25:21, completing a Kenyan sweep of the podium.
