Former President Muhammadu Buhari visited Maiduguri, Borno State, on Tuesday to offer condolences and support following the devastating floods that recently ravaged the region, claiming lives and causing widespread destruction of homes, properties, and livestock.

Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, shared in a statement on X that the former president was warmly received by Governor Babagana Zulum, Senator Ali Ndume, and other local leaders. Shehu noted that Buhari was away on vacation when the floods struck but felt compelled to return to personally console the affected communities.
