According to a statement issued on Thursday in Jos, signed by the State Head of Civil Service, Stephen Gadong.

The statement reads, “Following the Agreement of the Committee on Consequential Adjustment on Salaries on November 13, 2024, the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has approved the immediate implementation of the N70,000 minimum wage for workers in the State.”

Gadong emphasized that the approval demonstrates Governor Mutfwang’s commitment to prioritizing the wellbeing of the state’s workforce in recognition of their vital role in driving Plateau’s development goals.

He added, “As this new wage policy takes effect, Civil Servants are encouraged to embrace this gesture by renewing their commitment to their duties with increased dedication and zeal, in order to foster a culture of productivity and excellence in service across the State.”
