China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, has emphasized the shared commitment between Beijing and Cairo to advancing peace and dialogue for stability in the Middle East.
Speaking during a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty in Beijing on Friday, Wang highlighted the two nations’ unified stance on pressing regional issues.
The ministers expressed deep concern over the ongoing crisis in Syria, underscoring the importance of respecting its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
Wang also welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, signaling it as a positive step toward de-escalation in the region. Both diplomats reaffirmed their dedication to fostering peaceful resolutions and strengthening diplomatic efforts.
