Egypt and Uzbekistan have signed four key memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at boosting bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical, and cultural fields.

The agreements were signed by Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, Rania al-Mashat, and Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change at the conclusion of the 7th session of the Egyptian-Uzbek Joint Committee—held for the first time in 15 years.

Additionally, a significant MoU was signed between Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) and Uzbekistan’s Center for Islamic Civilization to foster cultural and historical cooperation.

Another agreement was established between the Uzbek region of Samarkand and Egypt’s Alexandria Governorate, further strengthening trade, scientific, and cultural relations between the two historic regions.
