Nigerian forward, Umar Sadiq is set to join Valencia on loan from Real Sociedad, with a medical scheduled for today to finalize the deal, according to trusted transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The agreement includes a buy option clause, enabling Valencia to make Sadiq’s move permanent at the end of the season.
Valencia, six-time Spanish champions, currently sit 19th in La Liga, grappling with poor form and a lack of goals. With just 16 goals in 17 matches, their leading scorer, Hugo Duro, has managed only four goals this season. The addition of Sadiq is seen as a potential solution to their offensive struggles as they battle to avoid relegation.
Sadiq, 27, has found limited opportunities under Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil this season, prompting the striker to seek more playing time. His agent explored options with Sevilla, Getafe, and Valencia before the Basque club secured his services.
