Following public uproar, local authorities arrested the teacher, and the school quickly responded with a statement condemning her actions.

“The video shows a teacher engaging in the physical discipline of a student in a manner that is completely unacceptable and contrary to the values and principles of our school,” the statement read.

The school’s management described the incident as “horrifying” and emphasized its zero-tolerance policy toward such behavior. It confirmed that the teacher has been suspended indefinitely while an investigation is underway.

Additionally, the school extended an apology to the student and their family, pledging full support during this period. Management also outlined steps to prevent a recurrence, including mandatory teacher training on child protection protocols, positive disciplinary practices, and the implementation of a whistle-blowing system for reporting misconduct.

“We remain deeply committed to fostering a culture of respect, care, and dignity within our school. Such actions will not be tolerated,” the statement concluded.

The incident has reignited public conversations on the need for improved teacher training and stricter measures against corporal punishment in schools.
