Algeria’s National Development Hydrocarbon Agency (ALNAFT) has signed a significant agreement with U.S. energy giant Chevron to cooperate on offshore hydrocarbon projects.
The deal, announced by the energy ministry, is part of Algeria’s efforts to increase its hydrocarbon output to meet growing demand, particularly from Europe.
As a major gas supplier to Europe, Algeria is keen to boost its production capacity to capitalize on the region’s increasing energy needs.
The partnership with Chevron is expected to play a crucial role in achieving this goal, leveraging the U.S. company’s expertise and technology to explore and develop Algeria’s offshore hydrocarbon resources.
