Thirteen peacekeeping soldiers have been killed in clashes with M23 rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The fatalities include nine South African soldiers, three from Malawi, and one from Uruguay.
The fighting is intensifying around the city of Goma, prompting the UN to pull out non-essential staff and move up a Security Council meeting to address the crisis.
