Puntland Forces Capture Islamic State Bases in Somalia

Forces from Somalia’s semi-autonomous Puntland region have captured significant territory from Islamic State militants during a recent offensive.

Puntland officials claim that 250 square kilometers, including 50 bases, have been seized since December 31.
