A group of around 30 suspects carried out a daring ATM bombing at a shopping mall in Hammanskraal, Pretoria, targeting five FNB ATMs and a drop safe inside one of the shops.

According to SAPS spokesperson Mavela Masondo, police responded swiftly to the scene, leading to a shootout between officers and the suspects. During the exchange of fire, a private security officer was shot and wounded.
