The Rivers State House of Assembly has served a notice of alleged misconduct against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu.

According to the lawmakers, this action is in line with Section 188 of the Nigerian Constitution, which allows for the investigation and potential impeachment of government officials.

The lawmakers claim that their action is justified under the Constitution and other relevant laws.

This development is the latest in a series of tensions between Governor Fubara and the lawmakers.

Details of the allegations and the next steps in the process are expected to emerge soon.
