CAF Confirms Dates, Venues, and Fixtures For U-17 AFCON Morocco 2025

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has officially announced the dates, kick-off times, and venues for the TotalEnergies CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025.

The 15th edition of the tournament will feature 16 nations, competing from March 30 to April 19, 2025. Matches will be hosted across four stadiums:

  • Larbi Zaouli Stadium (Casablanca)

The tournament kicks off at El Bachir Stadium on March 30, with hosts Morocco facing East African champions Uganda at 22:00 local time (GMT).

On March 31, the action continues with:

  • Tanzania vs. Zambia (14:00) – Group A
  • Burkina Faso vs. Cameroon (17:00) – Group B
  • South Africa vs. Egypt (20:00) – Group B

On April 1, the defending champions Senegal begin their title defense against The Gambia at El Abdi Stadium (14:00). Other key fixtures include:

  • Somalia vs. Tunisia (17:00) – Group C
  • Mali vs. Angola (17:00) – Group D
  • Côte d’Ivoire vs. Central African Republic (20:00) – Group D

The CAF U-17 AFCON Morocco 2025 will also serve as a qualifying tournament for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar later this year. Africa will be represented by 10 teams at the expanded global tournament.

Group A: Morocco (Hosts), Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia
Group B: Burkina Faso, Cameroon, South Africa, Egypt
Group C: Senegal, Gambia, Somalia, Tunisia
Group D: Mali, Angola, Côte d’Ivoire, Central African Republic

The tournament promises thrilling youth football action as Africa’s rising stars compete for continental glory and a place on the world stage.
