The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Lagos State Area Unit, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim community in Nigeria and worldwide on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan.

In a statement, the MSSN urged Muslims to sustain the spiritual rejuvenation achieved during Ramadan and continue showing love, care, and kindness to their families, neighbors, and all humanity.

The society emphasized that this is the core lesson of Ramadan, as taught in the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad.

The MSSN also commiserated with the families of 16 people killed by a criminal mob in Uromi, Edo State, and called on the government to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

The society prayed for Allah’s guidance for the country’s leaders to provide good governance and for the acceptance of their acts of worship during Ramadan.

This year’s Eid ul-Fitr celebration follows the sighting of the crescent moon in Saudi Arabia, which marked the end of Ramadan.

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs had declared that Eid ul-Fitr would be celebrated on Sunday, March 31, 2025, following the sighting of the moon.
