The statement outlined that the primary election will begin promptly at 8:00 AM with the accreditation of delegates and observers. Accreditation will take place outside the premises of Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, along the tarred road leading to the New Government House, and will run from 8:00 AM until 12:00 noon. Delegates or observers not in the queue before noon will not be accredited.

Only duly accredited delegates and observers will be permitted entry into the venue. All delegates and observers must present a valid form of identification—such as a National ID, International Passport, Voter’s Card, or any other government-issued ID—to be accredited. Accreditation tags must be worn by delegates and observers throughout the event.

Delegates will be seated in designated stands based on their respective Local Government Areas (LGAs), with each LGA’s section clearly marked. Observers will have their own designated area to sit. Delegates must remain seated in their LGA sections throughout the primary election.

Voting will take place by balloting, with delegates required to select either ‘YES’ or ‘NO’ on the ballot paper. Voting will be conducted in an orderly manner, with the process occurring LGA by LGA in alphabetical order. Once voting concludes, the Electoral Committee will sort, count, and announce the results.

The APGA 2025 governorship primary will be conducted in full compliance with the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria, the Electoral Act of 2022, and the INEC guidelines for political party primaries. Delegates and observers are required to strictly adhere to the established guidelines and procedures.
