The arrest is believed to be connected to a video of him spraying naira and US dollar bills at a public event. The EFCC has not released an official statement on the arrest.

This comes after the EFCC’s recent crackdown on naira abuse, which led to the remand of singer Terry Apala over similar allegations.

Another socialite, Aisha Achimugu, was also arrested by the EFCC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja over alleged money laundering.
