Twenty suspects have been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Police Force in Abuja for allegedly hacking the 2025 Computer-based test examinations conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The suspects are believed to be part of a larger syndicate of over 100 individuals specializing in hacking the computer servers of examination bodies, including JAMB and the National Examinations Council (NECO).
The arrests were made as part of an ongoing effort to crack down on examination malpractices and ensure the integrity of Nigeria’s educational system.
Further investigations are expected to reveal the extent of the syndicate’s activities and the methods used to compromise the examination systems.
