The member representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ngozi Okolie, has defected from the Labour Party (LP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing the LP’s lack of direction and persistent internal issues as reasons for his departure.

Okolie believes that joining the APC will help him attract projects and progress to his constituency.

According to Okolie, the Labour Party’s internal problems and disorganization have hindered his ability to effectively represent his constituency.

He stated that staying in a party with no clear direction would not support his legislative goals at the National Assembly.

Okolie also noted that the move to the APC aligns with broader political developments in Delta State, where traditional rulers and the state governor have endorsed the president and moved to the APC.

Okolie expressed confidence that his decision to join the APC would attract more projects and development to his constituency.

He emphasized that his resignation from the Labour Party was driven by a desire to better serve his constituents and advance their interests.
