The Nigerian government has extended its heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Zambia following the passing of former President Edgar Lungu.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar described Lungu as a dedicated leader who worked tirelessly to advance the interests of his country and the African continent.
Tuggar highlighted Lungu’s commitment to promoting regional integration and cooperation, as well as his efforts to enhance the welfare and prosperity of the Zambian people.
The Minister prayed for the eternal repose of Lungu’s soul and commiserated with the government and people of Zambia, as well as his bereaved family, during this difficult period.
He added that Lungu’s legacy would continue to inspire future generations of Africans to strive for excellence and unity.
