The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has granted Enugu Air approval for domestic flight operations in partnership with XEJet, pending completion of its Air Operator Certificate process.
This decision aligns with the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development’s 5-Point Agenda, aimed at promoting indigenous airlines and enhancing ease of doing business.
Enugu Air commenced commercial operations with three Embraer 170 aircraft, each seating approximately 76 passengers.
Ticket bookings are currently facilitated through the XEJet platform, accessible via Enugu Air’s official website.
The NCAA reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a supportive regulatory environment for local carriers while ensuring fair competition and maintaining high standards of safety, security, and consumer protection.
Enugu Air was officially inaugurated by Minister Festus Keyamo and Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, who emphasized the importance of running the airline professionally and avoiding bureaucracy.
