The Amotekun Commander in the area reported the incident to the police, and a search-and-rescue operation was launched.

The Command has assured that investigations are ongoing and every effort is being made to secure Akeem’s safe release and bring those responsible to justice.

This incident comes amid concerns over insecurity in the region, with another Amotekun officer being killed in a similar incident in Osun State in May.
