A Federal High Court in Abuja has refused to grant former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello’s request to have his international passport released, citing an unsigned medical report attached to the application.
Bello had sought to travel to the United Kingdom for medical attention, but Justice Emeka Nwite ruled that the unsigned document lacked probative value and could not be relied upon by the court.
The court adjourned the case to October 7 and 10 and November 10 and 11, 2025, for continuation of trial.
Bello is facing money laundering charges and had previously been granted bail by the court.
