The resignation comes amid growing tensions within the Assembly, following the suspension of four lawmakers accused of attempting to destabilize the Assembly by plotting to impeach Dajoh.

The suspended lawmakers include Alfred Berger, Terna Shimawua, Cyril Ekong, and James Umoru.

Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has denied any involvement in the alleged impeachment plot, maintaining a cordial relationship with the legislature.
