The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced critical deadlines for the successful coordination of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
According to the commission, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi authorities will take place in November 2025, marking the official start of preparations.
Intending pilgrims, state boards, and private tour operators are expected to adhere strictly to the schedule to avoid disruptions.
Key Deadlines:
- October 8, 2025: Remittance deadline for states and licensed operators to secure slots in the pilgrimage
- January 4, 2026: All camp booking payments must be completed, and service contract packages confirmed
- February 1, 2026: Deadline for uploading transport and accommodation contracts on the Nusuk Masar portal
- March 20, 2026: Final deadline for visa issuance, with no extensions under any circumstances
NAHCON emphasized that these timelines are non-negotiable, urging all stakeholders to ensure early compliance for a smooth and hitch-free Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
