The Rivers State House of Assembly will hold its first plenary session since the end of emergency rule in the state on Thursday at 10 a.m.
The session comes a day after President Bola Tinubu lifted the six-month emergency rule, paving the way for the return of democratic governance.

According to information obtained by our correspondent, the sitting will be presided over by Speaker Martin Amaewhule and is scheduled to take place at the Conference Hall of the Legislative Quarters on Aba Road, where lawmakers have been holding sessions temporarily.
