Former News Central TV Boss, Tonye Adonye-Halliday, has lost her beloved mother, Late Mrs. Grace Ori Park, who passed away peacefully on the 16th of September, 2025. She was aged 94.
In an official announcement made by the family, Gordon Park Jnr. expressed deep gratitude and submission to the will of the Almighty, describing Mrs. Park as a cherished matriarch and mother whose life was marked by grace, strength, and unwavering faith.

A series of funeral rites have been scheduled in her honour. The Service of Songs will hold on November 26, 2025, at 1 Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, at the Nigeria Airforce Officers’ Mess. Her body will then arrive at the Wariso Compound, Opobo Town, Rivers State, on November 28, where traditional rites will be performed.
The Funeral Service is set for November 29 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Opobo Town, at 10 a.m., followed by a reception at Pembe Field. A Thanksgiving Service will take place the following day, November 30, at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, after which guests will be received at the Wariso Compound.
Mrs. Grace Ori Park is fondly remembered for her kindness, humility, and devotion to God and family. The family noted that while she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire generations to come.
