“There is no Christian persecution in Nigeria,” the Defence Chief said. “I want to assure Nigerians that, going forward, we are going to strengthen and expand our ongoing efforts to checkmate acts of terrorism within the country.”

Oluyede reaffirmed that the military’s operations are focused on combating all forms of insecurity, including terrorism, banditry, and insurgency, with the goal of restoring peace across affected regions.

He further called for national unity and public support for the armed forces, emphasizing that the fight against terrorism requires collective responsibility and cooperation between security agencies and communities.
