Terrorists have launched a deadly attack on Tofah community in Sokoto State’s Rabah Local Government Area, leaving several residents dead, many others injured, and some abducted.
The assault occurred late at night, shortly after a sudden network shutdown in the area.
Residents reported that the attackers stormed the village in large numbers, firing sporadically as they moved from house to house.
The incident has sparked panic among residents, with many fleeing the community early in the morning.
The exact number of casualties remains unclear, and authorities have yet to issue an official statement. This attack comes hours after the Federal Government announced the rescue of schoolgirls abducted in Kebbi State.
The latest violence has raised concerns about the security situation in Nigeria, with many calling for increased efforts to protect communities and bring perpetrators to justice.
The government has been urged to take decisive action to address the growing insecurity in the country.
