Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The speculation follows the defection of 17 pro-Wike lawmakers from the Rivers State House of Assembly, who switched to the APC last Friday.
The political landscape in Rivers State remains uncertain, with Fubara’s potential defection seen as a bid to seek political refuge and align with the federal power structure.
The PDP has vowed to reclaim its mandate, while the APC welcomes the possibility of Fubara’s defection.
