Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has denied reports of a rift between him and federal or state lawmakers from the state, stating that claims of strained relations are unfounded.

Fubara made this statement at the commissioning of the 28.4-kilometre Ahoada-Omoku Road, saying arrangements had already been made for a meeting with the lawmakers, facilitated by his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, and other leaders.
