Nigeria’s Inflation Eases to 14.45% in November

Nigeria’s headline inflation rate eased to 14.45% in November 2025, down from 16.05% in October, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose to 130.5 points, reflecting a 1.6-point increase month-on-month.

Food inflation moderated to 11.08% year-on-year, while core inflation stood at 18.04%. Urban inflation was 13.61%, and rural inflation was 15.15%.

The NBS attributed the decline to the rebasing exercise, with the new base year set at 2024. Rivers State recorded the highest inflation rate at 17.78%, while Plateau State had the lowest at 9.13%.
